Installation at Tiny Cup Cafe
I have done a small installation at Tiny Cup Cafe. Here are a few images:

The idea was to use elements of design and decoration that would accent the original design of the space while referencing the history of coffee and the location of the business in a changing neighborhood. Different visual references and elements, some obscure and some more obvious, that highlight the place of the coffee house as a node of economic and cultural exchange and conversation. My hope is that the artwork will spark dialogue while its simultaneous destruction as an active element of the environment records the traces of those who frequent the coffee shop and use it as a social environment.
A big thanks to my friend Lenny Reibstein who helped with the installation, and Lisa Bayer, the owner of Tiny Cup, for taking a chance and letting me get crazy with her space.
Tiny Cup is at 301 Clifton Pl at the Corner of Nostrand Ave in Brooklyn.
